It runs the original ARM64 program through an Apple compatibility layer with Metal graphics and rebuilt touch controls. The public release supplies build inputs rather than an installable game. Version 1.0.17 is a creator-reported stash hotfix; its claims have not been independently gameplay-tested here.
Try a hosted Diablo demo, import DIABDAT.MPQ for the retail game, or use native DevilutionX for Hellfire and its controller scheme.

D2R Mobile adapts the Switch version of Diablo II: Resurrected with Reign of the Warlock to Apple devices. Its central player-facing work is a touch interface for repeated combat, skill use and inventory management. A virtual stick handles movement, while tapping scenery, characters and entrances can direct interaction. Skill buttons support holding to repeat and dragging to aim.
Inventory gestures matter in a game built around equipment: double-tapping equips items, dragging to a vendor sells them, and long presses offer additional actions. Connecting a controller switches to the original controller-style interface; touching the screen switches back. This is a local offline adaptation, with no multiplayer or online account route.
The project includes its own optional endgame and convenience features alongside the original program. Greater Rift progression, Boss Rush, Elysium drop changes and a Kill Board are additions described by this project, not promises about unmodified Diablo II. Elysium in particular changes reward rates, so choose the character mode with the desired experience in mind.
That distinction is useful whether you want a familiar character-building journey or a faster loop of fights and equipment experiments. Consult Options → Custom for individual convenience toggles rather than assuming all of the mobile additions preserve the original balance.
The release shell is build input, not an installable copy of the game. You supply the supported Switch files, prepare the package and sign it for your device. The documented target is game version 1.0.34.0; other versions require separate adaptation rather than simply changing the filename.
Choose the build matching the operating-system version and chip. Older supported devices can need an additional texture pack generated from your own files. The Windows packaging route also compiles shaders on the first phone launch, whereas the Xcode route prepares them earlier. Keep app updates, original resource files and character saves separate when maintaining the installation.
Your own Switch Diablo II: Resurrected plus Reign of the Warlock, version 1.0.34.0. PC game files are incompatible; neither game content nor the expansion is supplied.
Creator-reported · Project guideFollow the project build guide with your own game files. On Mac, use its Xcode build route; the alternative packaging tool combines the release shell with your files before signing and installing. The shell ZIP alone is not an installable game. Use matching source and shell versions.
Creator-reported · Project guideiPhone and iPad use iOS 26+, or the older-API build for iOS 18–25. Apple silicon Macs use macOS 26+, or the older-API build for macOS 15–25. Older chips need the documented Legacy Device Pack. The Apple TV community preview has only reached character selection on its author’s device.
Creator-reported · Project guideTouch controls and controller support are documented on iPhone/iPad. The Mac build documents mouse, keyboard and gamepad mappings, but the README says its keyboard and physical gamepad paths still lack hands-on verification.
Creator-reported · Project guideThe project explicitly runs offline and does not support multiplayer.
Creator-reported · Project guidev1.0.17 replaces withdrawn v1.0.16 after personal-stash loss and shared-stash duplication reports. Its release notes say the fixes do not restore items already lost or duplicated. Performance and device claims are from the maintainer, not tests by this catalog.
