TriAevum now has beta releases for Windows and Linux. The old alpha.3 and alpha.3b builds were withdrawn as broken; that warning does not mean the newer beta downloads are unavailable. Check the version attached to instructions before following an older setup or troubleshooting note.
Beta.1b addresses upscaler startup crashes, menu behavior and scene-change problems. Beta.1c is a Linux save-state location hotfix; its notes say Windows players can remain on beta.1b. These are still experimental releases, and the creator asks players to back up progress before updating.

Echoes of Time is TriAevum’s Ocarina of Time 3D project. Its distinguishing design is a single-screen HUD and menu experience inspired by rlgcarrot’s TopScreen, reimplemented for this runtime. The game input is the 3DS remake, not the N64 original used by other Ocarina projects.
The renderer offers toon shading, outlines, widescreen framing, a configurable camera and optional effects. Its 60/90 FPS option interpolates the original 30 Hz game state; it does not turn the underlying physics into a 60 or 90 Hz simulation. F2 temporarily disables the main added visual effects without discarding their configuration, which helps compare the presentation.
The documented Forge importer accepts supported decrypted personal EUR or USA dumps in .3ds or .cci form and checks their contents. It also prepares shaders and the TopScreen texture package, using an internet connection unless that package is supplied locally. The engine download includes no ROM or original game assets.
The newer beta supports decrypted EUR or USA .3ds and .cci dumps, including original and Rev 1 inputs; Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese releases remain unsupported. On Windows, updating into a new folder requires preparing it with Forge and carrying over data/savedata. Linux beta.1c moves default save states out of the read-only package and beside user data. Preserve ordinary in-game saves as well as save states when changing versions.
