## About this version

The linked WASM Arcade list identifies this GTA III implementation as re3 compiled to WebAssembly. This entry describes that hosted browser delivery, not a new original game or an independently verified full campaign. The host’s performance claims remain untested.

- [Liberty City Stories](https://playable.wtf/games/elmasas-lcs-recomp/): A native route for the supported PSP US v1.05 edition, with configurable keyboard, mouse and controller input.
- [GTA IV on Apple mobile](https://playable.wtf/games/koreanseats1-theft4/): An experimental signed iOS/iPadOS app using the exact Xbox 360 base and TU8, with a save-export workflow.

## Liberty City on foot and behind the wheel

Grand Theft Auto III is a single-player open-world action game set in Liberty City. Moving between walking, fighting and driving gives a visit to the city its rhythm: a vehicle changes how you cross it, while a mission gives that movement a purpose. Story progress opens further parts of the city.

## A hosted re3 build with streamed assets

WASM Arcade identifies this version as re3 running through WebAssembly. Its page streams the game data as you explore and provides a save manager beside the play area. The controls cover keyboard, mouse and gamepad, with WebGL 2 required by the host.

The archive is unofficial and supported by advertising. Its About page explains that pressing Play can open a sponsor page in another tab. The game remains a browser application that downloads engine and asset data; no desktop installer is required.

## Switch controls when you enter a vehicle

Use WASD or the arrows to move and steer, the mouse to attack, and F or Enter to enter or leave a vehicle. Space becomes the handbrake while driving. Escape releases the captured mouse when you need to use the surrounding page.

## Back up a slot outside the browser

Save at a safehouse, then use Saves to download the resulting .b file. The manager has eight browser-local slots and can import a file back into one. Keep a downloaded copy before clearing site data or moving devices; a browser save is not an account-based cloud save.

## Do I need the original game files?

The host supplies streamed browser assets and does not ask for a local game-file import on its documented start flow.

## What are the controls?

The host lists WASD/arrows for movement, mouse aiming, F/Enter for vehicles and Esc to release the pointer, plus a controller mapping.

## What should I know before playing?

Sponsor-tab advertising is part of the launch flow. Browser storage and full-game completion have not been independently tested.
